This site began because I thought there must be a ton of other women like me…over 50, and struggling to identify myself as more than a mom, wife, or daughter.
I sacrificed for my family - I have NO regrets, in fact, I would do it all again.
But now, who am I?
I genuinelly couldn't remember what did I want to be when I grew up?
What were / are my passions?
What makes me happy?
So...my journey began...
to begin, or continue, on your own journey to identify
yourSELF!
I would like to help you with falling in love with yourself again, or do so for the first time.
I am really good at finding answers to questions I have about almost anything. I kind of go down rabbit holes to get the answers, but then I am able to share sometimes complex solutions in easy to understand ways.
My friends, family, coworkers, & others, come to me for answers on a cross spectrum of things because everyone seems to know I will find answers.
I was born & raised as a city girl, moved & have lived more than 30 years in the South.
My neighbors for the last few years include cows, horses, goats, chickens, & alpacas.
I love sleeping in as late as possible, which usually means I unintentionally wake up on my own at 6:30am.
I keep failing at intermittent fasting because I love my morning cup of coffee & my evening glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.
I’m really struggling with my gray thinning hair - I’m working from home so I don’t have to dye it now.
When I was really feeling sad at one point in my life, we adopted 2 tuxedo kittens, Simba & Nala. Simba claimed me right away. He has been my muse and showed me undeniable love right when I needed it the most. Nala claimed my husband as her own.
I really like reading romance novels where the heroines are my age, smart, perfectly imperfect, and loved.
My husband & kids are my world and I’ll do anything for them.
I am proud of my going back to school for my degree in my late 40’s and earning my graduate degree in my early 50’s – all while working full time and raising my family.
I watch HGTV and DIY channels as a hobby.
Although I spent more than 30 years professionally as a CT & MRI tech, I am a horrible photographer – blurry, too dark, or finger in the corner of the image anyone?
